Service lighting The amount of lighting in a room, depending on the activities, must be constant during the activity and adapt to solar changes. Therefore, it is possible to define different types of lighting that the control system reacts and adapts to automatically with specific devices. Obviously, the light source to use is not only artificial but also natural solar light to minimize energy consumption.
Work A series of lightmeters can be used to measure the amount of light to work and adjust the emission of light from lamps using autotransformers or electronic reactors connected with BUS. The amount of sunlight could be regulated with protective screens or filters that are activated by electric servomotors and controlled electronically.
Relax During breaks, the lighting could be lowered to rest workers' eyes and save energy at the same time.
Projection The control system would darken a projection room progressively, close the solar protection and decrease artificial lighting as much as possible, until the safety limits for possible evacuation are reached. Various lighting equipment can be used and be electronically interface in order to make the following information available to a control system: - lighting power emitted, - equipment status, functioning, broke. In this way, it is possible to verify the efficiency of the equipment used and to perform maintenance more easily.
Safety lighting In case of danger, a minimum amount of light must be guaranteed for evacuation. Therefore, a sufficient number of lamps must work when there is a power outage, either with batteries inside the lamp itself or with centrally generated power. In this case, the control system must constantly verify the following conditions: - the lighting equipment functions correctly, - the auxiliary power source, battery or centralized generator, functions correctly Over time, a report of the maintenance conditions and internal functions could be formulated automatically.
Solar protection Protection from bright sunlight must function electrically and be controlled by a remote control system that will manage the functions in order to take advantage of natural light to reduce energy consumption with light wells and fiber optic lighting. |
