In the last five years, the Province of Milan has allocated about 28 million Euro for direct measures in support of entrepreneurship and innovation in the Milanese economy.  Specifically, various calls for  proposals of financing have been announced, designed to support:

• processes directed at the acquisition of European patents and/or other international patents
• the creation of new, creative, and highly innovative companies 
• the establishment of new innovative companies
• the development of computerised information systems and technologies connected to communications and quality
• the creation of development projects in companies through investments for innovative  choices and solutions in the following economic sectors: non-alimentary biotechnologies, design, fashion, new materials, and information and communications technology
• the creation and launch of micro-companies in economic sectors
